Welcome to the Collin County Adult Literacy Council. We are an organization whose member programs provide instruction in Adult Basic Education, Adult Basic Literacy, English as a second language, and GED.
As a Literacy Council, we maintain a referral list of Collin County literacy programs for both students and volunteers. In 2010, we also hosted a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Workshop and conducted a Basic Literacy Tutor Training. In the United States, 14% of our population cannot read a newspaper article. That statistic is less than it was even ten years ago because we have come together to help.
Please call us if you would like more information on becoming a student or want to know more about volunteer opportunities. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
